On 16th and 17th June 2016 I along with some other food bloggers in Bangalore went on a trip to explore the food and dining options at one of the best malls in Bangalore and India’s first luxury mall – UB City. UB City is located 1.5 kms away from MG Road – Brigade Road junction on a road named Vittal Mallya Road.
UB City had been voted as the most outstanding structure in Karnataka, to picking up 11 awards over a short span of 3 year period. It is spread over an area of 16 lakh sqft and is completed by UB Tower, Kingfisher plaza, Condorde, Canberra and Comet blocks! UB tower is the tallest structure in Karnataka as on date, measuring up to a height of 123 M. It houses the UB group offices.
The 2nd tallest structure is the Concorde Block Standing at 115M within the UB City complex, followed by the Canberra Block which stands at 105M. Some of the biggest corporate names – 3M, Apple, Citibank, Ernst & Young, Kawasaki and Yahoo! sit out of these blocks.
Brands like Rolex, Burberry, Louis Vuitton and Canali are located in the retail area named “The collection”. This is the biggest highlight of UB City. Due to brands like these, UB City is apt to be called as India’s first luxury mall.
Lot of events are being conducted at UB City and it is Bangalore’s most sought after destination, for tourists and locals too. Be it every Bangalorean’s favorite Bengaluru Habba or internationally acclaimed saxophonist Kenny G’s performance, UB City has offered entertainment like never before!
There is an 800 seater amphitheater internationally famed Oakwood Serviced Residences along with a Spa from Angsana.
UB City is also a home to various cuisines. You can come to one place and discover any type of cuisine like Indian, Mediterranean, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, Asian or French. This is one place to discover multiple things.
We spent day 1 discovering various brands and some great places where one can relish their taste buds.
Sublime Galleria
There is also a lovely art gallery named Sublime Galleria. This is India’s first Sky Gallery and was founded by Ms. Uzma Irfan, Executive Director – Corporate Communications, Prestige Group, in 2009. It is dedicated to support and promote fine arts. It regularly organizes exclusive art pageants featuring the work of upcoming, as well as renowned artists. These shows and exhibitions are well attended by connoisseurs of art and buyers from across the globe, facilitating budding artists in gaining both visibility and commercial success.
Sublime has a rich and growing portfolio of Fine Art artists, who have embraced visitors at the Gallery with their exquisite exhibits. The artworks created by the artists are both fascinating and intriguing to the human eye. Works of several artists in Photography and Digital Art too are emboldened by the Gallery. So if you are an art lover like me, do visit Sublime Galleria.
Regular workshops in arts, music and theatre are conducted to discover talent. Sublime Galleria provides the perfect setting for the city’s art aficionados.

Sublime House Of Tea
Soon after exploring the fashion brands and events at UB City, we decided to go for a Tea tasting experience at Café Noir. We tasted the best tea from the Sublime House of tea. This was also started by Uzma Irfan who is the Executive Director, Prestige Group and Founder, Sublime Galleria in 2013. Sublime House of Tea’ is promoted by the Prestige Group and Sublime Galleria.
The tea has been handpicked with care to value quality and diversity rather than quantity. There are various types of Sublime teas in its portfolio. From sought after bouquets such as Green Tea, Assam Tea and English Breakfast to intriguing localized brews like Moroccan Mint, and Seventh Heaven, eclectic admixtures like White Tea with Raspberry and the complex flavors of herbal tisanes like Rose in Bloom and Chamomile, there is a tea to suit every palate and occasion.
The tea is packed in pyramid tea bags, rather than the regular filter paper tea bags, thus further enhancing the taste of the tea by giving the fullness of the liquor. Drinking tea can potentially be beneficial in preventing diseases like cancer, neurological conditions and coronary heart diseases. Studies are being conducted the world over to determine the exact nature and extent of the benefits.
I tasted 2 types of Sublime tea in UB City – Rose In Bloom and Jasmine Mandarin. Loved both the flavors. The Rose in Bloom left a nice after effect and had a rosy flavor while the Jasmine Mandarin tea was bit stronger with the aroma of freshly plucked jasmine flowers. The later one perfectly matched my taste buds. These are perfect to de-stress after a busy working day.
