One day my hubby got home a packet of macaroni instead of pasta. He just saw the packet and thought it is similar to pasta and got it home. He also said that he got a cheap packet of pasta. I was surprised. When I opened the shopping bag, I saw that it was not pasta but macaroni and that was a day when I was just craving to eat some pasta loaded with cheese and Italian seasoning. So I thought that it was better to try something with macaroni. Deep inside my heart I knew that my recipe will never go wrong.
Hmmm, yummy!!! That’s how it turned. Even now while tying this post I am feeling like making my favorite macaroni loaded with cheese. My hubby normally does not like cheesy stuff, but this time he liked it. I remember, in my childhood my Mom used to make soup loaded with macaroni. I used to hate macaroni that time. But now I prepare it as an alternative to pasta and it turns good.
Ingredients: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Serves: 2, Prep. Time: 25 Min’s
1 1/2 cups macaroni
1 cup chopped onion / 1 medium sized onion
6-7 olives de-seeded and chopped
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
2 tablespoon tomato sauce
1 tablespoon chilli sauce
1/2 tablespoon mustard sauce
2 tablespoon Italian seasonings
2 slices of Amul cheese(cut into small pieces)
3 -4 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 tablespoon salt or as per taste
Procedure:
Boil the macaroni in 4 cups water. Drain the water and keep them aside.
In a pan, add olive oil. When it heats, add onion and after it turns pinkish add ginger-garlic paste. Saute for 2 Min’s.
Add the chopped olives and saute.
Add the sauces one by one and give it a nice stir.
Add the boiled macaroni. Add salt to taste.
Then top it with Amul cheese slice pieces.
Stir it till cheese melts.
Garnish with Italian seasonings.
Note: You can modify this recipe as per your need. You can make this recipe even without olives and mustard sauce as most of the people do not have these in their pantry at home.
You can add chopped tomatoes and modify the recipe as needed.
I used Amul cheese slices because I had this handy.
