The month of June has been always lucky for me mainly because it is the month I am born in. It always gives me multiple opportunities and most of the wonderful things in my life happen in the month of June. This year too the month of June is lucky. First of all I got some opportunities to excel in my personal life. Secondly I got to meet the judge of MasterChef Australia George Calombaris again at the World on a plate event which is the first International food carnival held in India.
Sharing the Frame with MasterChef Australia judge George Calombaris |
I was specially invited by Cuisine Regale to attend the masterclass with George. How could I ever say no? Finally it is a chance to meet George Calombaris again whom I have always see on my favorite reality cookery show MasterChef Australia.
The premium lifestyle modular kitchen gallery brand – Cuisine Regale treated foodies to an exciting masterclass which was being conducted by MasterChef George Calombaris. Cuisine Regale is a lifestyle modular kitchen gallery brand which has been built on anthropometric, ergonomics and based on each person’s cooking style. Signature kitchens such as Cuisine Regale are an essential requirement for modern living amongst the growing upscale urban population.
George demonstrated his signature dish called ‘Soft Shell Crab Souvlaki’. Soft shell crabs were deep fried and were then wrapped inside a paratha along with smoked mayonnaise, pickled mint and coriander and pickled cucumber. The dish was yummy and the dish was cooked as per Indian taste buds by George to suit our taste buds. This was a dream come true. I got to live my dream of learning from the MasterChef and tasting the food cooked by him. A lot of tips and tricks were shared by George which will surely help me in my day to day cooking as well.
Tossing up some yummy delights for his guests, George also shared his experience at Cuisine Regale’s kitchen. He said, “I am very excited to be back in India be a part of World On A Plate. I love the food here and can’t wait to explore new flavors and cuisine. The popularity of diverse cuisines and willingness to experiment is immense amongst the current generation. It is due to brands like Cuisine Regale that foodies can continue to experiment and enjoy the experience of cooking.”
At the event, George answered the questions from the audience. He even posed for a photo with me. How nice of him to share a frame with a food blogger 🙂 Indeed it’s a dream come true.
‘World on a plate’ event brought together the best restaurants and food places of India under one roof. The festival was a delight for foodies to experiment and experience great food, along with lively music and entertainment.
