ASUS Divas Meet At Bangalore

On 13th August 2015, I was invited to attend the ASUS Divas Meet at Taj Vivanta, M.G.Road.The meet was held at the banquet hall at Taj Vivanta. It was a meet only for the Divas i.e. ladies. When we reached the venue, we were greeted with smile by the ASUS team.

 

 

We registered at the registration desk, had the welcome drink and  proceeded to the banquet hall which was all set for the fun-filled evening to kick-start.

 

 

The first Divas Meet was held in Mumbai where VJ Anusha Dandekar kick started the event and the first ZenFestival was held in Delhi where the beautiful bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha kick-started the event. In Mumbai and Bangalore, the event was for specially for the ladies where ASUS introduced us to The Selfie Phone and gave us lots fo tips to be a selfie queen.

 

The meet started with Komal welcoming all the Divas to the ASUS meet and introducing us to the ASUS brand.

 

 

Komal introduced us to Mr. Arindham who spoke about the success story of ASUS.

 

 

Followed by this, The MD of ASUS Mr. Peter Chang gave us a presentation and introduced us to the newly launched ASUS products like ZenFone2Deluxe, ZenFone2Laser, ZenFone Selfie, ZenFone Max and ZenPad.

 

And then we had Steffi from the ASUS team who briefed us with the specifications of the selfie phone and also gave us a demo of clicking a panorama selfie.

 

 

She also mentioned that we ladies consider that selecting a smartphone is like selecting a boyfriend/husband as we all want the best one with all the best features/qualities.

 

 

The best feature of the ZenFone is that you just have to draw an “S” on the screen with your finger tip and smile and shoot to capture a true beauty with ZenFone selfie. Unlike other phones where you have to first unlock, then hold the phone at an angle and then click with the other hand, this selfie phone has has a physical key at the back which makes it easy to click a selfie. How cool is that? We ladies just loved this unique feature. Apart from this the phone has a 13 MP front and rear camera and dual( front and rear) flash which is one of its kind till date. They also have provided a Beautification mode where you need not worry about how your pictures appear. Just choose the Beautification mode, and let ZenFone Selfie balance facial features, soften complexions and remove skin blemishes to create flawless photos. The phone also clicks very good pictures in low-light conditions. And for a food-photographer like me they have also provided a macro focusing right upto 6 cm. And there is a good news for the ladies, since the ZenFone has gorilla glass, you can just keep it in your hand bag loaded with other accessories and you can be sure that your phone will be scratch-free.

 

 

ASUS team also introduced us to other products like power banks and an external flash called LOLLI FLASH which can be used to click the best selfie. Notice the pink LOLLI FLASH in the picture below.

 

 

Soon after that was a surprise as the Diva of the evening walked on the stage and it was none other than the gorgeous Anusha Dandekar. Anusha gave us lots of tips on how to do the perfect make-up. She also answered a lot of queries on skin care like handling acne. A real selfie queen indeed, she was the star of the evening and she actually taught everyone how to click the perfect selfies and at which angle to hold the phone while clicking the selfies.The best angle to hold the phone while clicking the selfies is the top angle from where the ladies don’t look fat. The side angle according to her is not good as it makes the nose look bigger. A lot of such tips were shared with us and it was very interesting.

 

 

Two contests were held at the event. The first one was a ramp walk where the Divas had to click a selfie with the ZenFone while walking on the ramp. 10 divas were selected randomly and asked to walk on the ramp and click selfies.

 

 

The second was a group selfie contest where the divas were split into groups of 5 and asked to click a group selfie. The criteria was not to cut anyone from the picture and not to click “selfish” selfies. Selfish selfies means only looking at our own face while clicking a group selfie.

 

The winners of both the contests were selected by the selfie queen Anusha herself. Our group did not win the group selfie contest but the winning group really deserved it and they all won Zenny pen drives and LOLLI FLASH from ASUS.

 

Later we went to the demo booth and tried our hands at the ZenFone’s clicking some selfies.

Some of us tried clicking selfies with the props at the booths and it was real fun.

 

At the end of the evening, we all were served with tea/coffee and some lip-smacking refreshments like mini-pizzas, kheema samosas, assorted veg and non-veg sandwiches and veg and non-veg kathi rolls and some awesome desserts.

 

 

It was really a fun-filled and entertaining evening and all the divas had a great time. All walked away with some beautiful memories of the evening.
