Today’s recipe is a simple and refreshing summer salad that is tomato cucumber salad with onion recipe for clean eating. It is so simple that even a child can easily prepare it for no fire recipe in school. The salad gets ready in less than 10 minutes and is a perfect Asian cucumber salad recipe and ideal to serve for summer dinners.
Chopped cucumber, tomato and onion is marinated in a simple salad dressing made of lemon juice, coriander leaves, black pepper, and salt. I love to keep my salads light and dress it with minimal dressings.
We all should eat diverse types of healthy salads every day. Salads can be served along with main meals. Just chop the fresh vegetables, top it with dressing and toss.
Salads like tomato onion cucumber salad is very nutritious. Make sure that the vegetables used to make the salad are fresh and tender. Try to use organic vegetables. What goes in making a light summer salad with tomato and cucumber?
- Vegetables: Cucumber, tomato, and onion are the vegetables used in this salad recipe. I have used red onion, but white onion may also be used in this recipe.
- Dressing: For salad dressing, I have added freshly extracted lemon juice and simple spice like black pepper powder and salt. Apple cider vinegar may be added if lime juice is unavailable.
- Garnish: Finely chopped coriander leaves or cilantro leaves have been added as garnish.
How to make tomato cumber salad with onion?
- To a mixing bowl, add freshly chopped cucumber, chopped onion, and chopped tomato. Add lemon juice, chopped coriander leaves or cilantro, black pepper, and salt.

Ingredients
- 1 cucumber peeled and chopped into small pieces
- 1 tomato finely chopped
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 2 tablespoon lemon juice extracted from fresh lemons
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
- 2 tablespoon coriander leaves / cilantro finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
Instructions
- Toa mixing bowl, add freshly chopped cucumber, chopped onion, and chopped tomato.
- Add lemon juice, chopped coriander leaves or cilantro, black pepper, and salt.
- Toss and serve fresh.
