HIGH Ultra Lounge – Brigade Hospitality – A Review

Have you ever dined in a restaurant which is on the 31st floor? Yes 31st floor i.e.. 421 feet above the ground level? That too a luxurious one? You must be wondering what I am talking about. Well I am talking about South India’s highest destination for food and beverages which is located on the 31st floor of The World Trade Center in Bangalore.

Yes on a busy Monday evening I got an invite to come and attend a preview of this restaurant. Initially I told them that I can’t attend this event as it’s was a Monday. But then my friend Anamika called me again and told me not to miss this event as it was really a big one. Once again, Anamika for inviting me.

I was too excited to see The World Trade Center in Bangalore. It was really very high. The restaurant was still higher and was not visible from the ground level. I got into the lift and it went up,up and up to the 31st floor. After getting in I met the fellow bloggers. Some of them had flown down from Delhi and Chennai to attend this event. After interacting with Mrs.Nirupa Shankar -TheDirector, Brigade Hospitality, I went to see the view of Bangalore from the 31st floor. OMG, it was awesome. Since I reached there at 6.00 PM I got to see the sunset. The golden rays of the sun had spread all over Bangalore, slowly the evening unfolded and thus illuminating Bangalore. It was just mesmerising view of the city.

With the theme of “timelessness”, the venue has a design that is easy one the eyes, service that is personalized, food that is comforting and beverages that are made to suit the mood. This location is a “must do” for tourists and a “must have” for local Bangaloreans.

Spread lavishly across 10,000 square feet, on the roof top of the World Trade Center, with seating for 220 covers at a height of 421 feet – High Ultra Lounge is a modern Asian bar and restaurant. Blending the outdoors and indoors with breathtaking views of the city with sensuous interiors, the venue raises the bar and creates high expectations for visitors and party goers in Bangalore.

The team is led by Pravesh Pandey, Director-Operations, Chef Zhang Hao, and Guruprashanth, Director-Bar. The Director Nirupa Shankar gave us a quick introduction and showed us around the entire estate.

High Ultra Lounge looks to redefine the lounge bar experience by focusing on superlative ambiance, modern pan Asian cuisine, world-class mixology and personalized service.

A quiet place that I loved the most

The lounge is divided into four zones to give guests a sense of exclusivity and different experiences each time they visit the venue.

HIGH VIEW is a lounge space that has open-to-sky seating, vertical gardens and the best spot to catch the last rays of the sun every evening. The space is ~3600 sft and is ideal for groups and large parties that want to enjoy great food and good beverages and fine company under the clear blue Bangalore skies.There are sunbeds for those who want to have a lazy evening sipping on sangria and watch the sun go down!

HIGH DINE is a fine dining experience set against a water body and elements that are a perfect accent for a relaxed and well prepared meal. The food served is Pan Asian comfort food with dishes from Japanese, Korean, Thai and Chinese cuisines. Fresh ingredients to create classic dishes with a modern twist and exciting presentation.The area is 2400 sft and open to sky. What better way to enjoy a meal than with friends and family, underneath the city’s stars?

HIGH MIX is a space buzzing with energy and a range of signature cocktails to create new experiences for the city’s nightlife. The space is ethereal with its dusky views and subtle lighting. Acoustically treated glass to ensure the thumping beats keep up with the thumping feet. 2000 sft of space to mix and meet while sipping on cocktails created by internationally acclaimed mixologists. The perfect way to spend a night with an international crowd at the highest point in South India.

HIGH EDGE an exclusive area for special occasions, with a standalone bar, that provides for the most spectacular views of the city. The space has the extra edge to make things happen. Apart from this there is an exclusive area on top of the 31st floor where the helipad is present. There is just one table and 2 chairs meant for a couple. The view at night is amazing and it is extremely romantic. When I went there, I went into my world of imagination. I was imagining that I just get down from a helicopter and there Mr. M keeps waiting for me. He holds my right hand and I get down. We have a romantic candle light dinner there and share a few romantic moments…. wow, it is just awesome!

The cocktails, mocktails,wine and drinks just kept flowing on the table. Mr. Guruprashanth V.M, the Director – Bar Operations impressed us with his unusual concoctions and by shaking the cocktail mixer. The following are some of the cocktails and mocktails that were served.

We also had a food ingredients tasting competition. The ingredients were difficult to judge. My blogger friends Pari and Nandita won this contest.
