Carrot peas sandwich Indian style is a healthy sandwich which can be made for breakfast or snacks. This sandwich is made with grated carrot and green peas filling to which spices are added. This spicy carrot sandwich with peas is a great way to make kids eat vegetables.

Heat a kadai and add 1 tablespoon oil. After the oil gets heated, add finely chopped garlic and finely chopped green chilies. Stir and sauté till you can smell the strong smell of garlic.
Now add the grated carrots and boiled green peas and let this cook for 10 minutes.
Add black pepper powder and chaat masala and stir. Add salt to taste and mix everything well.
Switch off the heat. The filling is ready.
To assemble the sandwich:
Now to prepare the sandwich, take a slice of bread and spread some filling evenly on the slice.
Garnish with grated cheese.
Close this with another slice of bread.
You can grill this sandwich or have it as it is. I have grilled it using a panini grill press.
