Fresh and juicy prawns are marinated in spicy masala and then coated with semolina and shallow fried to perfection on low flame. Serve them as a party starter or serve them as a side dish with rice and curry.
Marinate them by applying salt, turmeric powder and chili powder for 30 minutes.
For coating prawns:
Take a plate and add the rice flour, semolina (rava), salt, 1/4 teaspoon each of turmeric powder and chili powder. Mix well.
Coat the prawns in this rawa(semolina) and rice flour mixture. Ensure that it is fully covered with flour and rava.
For frying:
Heat the frying pan and spread 4 tablespoon oil. Add little more if required.
Place the semolina coated prawns on the pan and fry on low flame. Spread 2 - 3 teaspoon oil on top of the prawns.
After 10 minutes turn them to the other side.
Fry them for 15 minutes.
You know they are done when they turn brownish.

Notes
Always fry prawns on low flame and do not cover it while frying.
If the prawns are small, just fry them for 10 minutes. If they are big in size fry them for longer time say 20 minutes.
Do not burn the semolina which is applied on top of the prawns.
