Rava Kheer - Goan Ravo

Rava Kheer or suji ki kheer or sooji ki kheer or rava payasam also known as ravo recipe in Konkani is a quick and easy kheer recipe made with ingredients easily available at home. This kheer made from semolina isa rava milk pudding and is perfect during the fasting days or great to have when we are on liquid diet.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon rava/ semolina
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon elaichi powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar

Instructions

  • Dry roast the rava in a kadai/pan. If you don’t dry roast the rava, the ravo becomes sticky and lumpy.
  • Add milk to the roasted rava and boil.
  • After milk starts boiling add sugar, cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Serve hot.
