Warm Cinnamon Apples

These 5-ingredient stovetop warm cinnamon apples are the perfect quick fall treat, ready in under 15 minutes! Tender apples sautéed in butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon create a deliciously comforting dessert that tastes just like homemade apple pie filling. Ingredients

  • 2 apples
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • A pinch salt

Instructions

  • Peel, core, and slice the apple into ¼ inch thick slices.
  • Heat a pan and add butter.
  • After butter melts, add apple slices and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  • Add brown sugar, cinnamon, a pinch of salt and mix.
  • Cover and cook for 5 minutes on medium – low flame stirring occasionally.

Notes

  • Some people add spices like nutmeg and cardamom to this spiced apple dessert. Sometimes lemon juice is also added to balancing the sweetness of apples.
  • If you want a thicker apple sauce, add a paste of corn flour and water while cooking the apples with spices.
