Wheat Bhakri
Wheat bhakri is a sweet flatbread or pancake made with whole wheat flour. This flatbread for breakfast is a healthy and easy under 20 minutes recipe.

- 1 cup wheat flour
- 1 cup water
- 4 tablespoon freshly grated coconut
- 1/2 cup grated jaggery
- 1 green chili optional
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoon oil / homemade ghee for frying
Mix the wheat flour and water to make a thick batter like dosa or pancake batter.
Add the other ingredients and mix well ensuring that there are no lumps of flour in the batter.
Fry the tawa / griddle, smear 1 or 2 tsp ghee/clarified butter on the tawa.
Pour a ladle full of batter on the tawa.
Spread it across with your fingertips carefully.
Fry well on both sides.
- Ghee should be used for frying the pancake. However, if ghee is not available oil can be added.
- The bhakri tastes delicious when fried with ghee.
- If jaggery is not available, sugar can be added.
